Cumulative project

On this project we were supposed to make a project combining some of our previous projects. I organized my pictures by color and then added light using the brush tool and then desaturated the whole picture.

6 Discrimination Projects

On this project we were supposed to create 6 projects all based off of 1 theme. My theme was discrimination. I did a project with rabbits, frogs, cows, caterpillars, fish, and snakes.

Text Illustration

For this project we were supposed to choose a word, then use pictures related to that word to fill the letters. I chose the word war and added in pictures associated with the war between the Hutu and the Tutsies from Rwanda.

Hotel Rwanda

On this project we were supposed to make a poster based on the movie Hotel Rwanda, and include the 3 main actors/actresses. I decided to use the flag, a map, the sign from the hotel, and an overlay picture of some corpses from the genocide.

On this project we were supposed to make an animoto video using 7 of our projects, i uploaded my projects and used a random sample song.

Hidden object

On this project we were supposed to hide an object in another picture. I chose a rocky background and hid a beetle somewhere inside of the landscape, see if you can find it!

Stencils

On this project we were supposed to manipulate a picture using a stencil to make 6 copies and then create some sort of color wheel to go along with it, also using filters. I made one out of a picture of bark, with a stencil of a tree.

Stencil filter project

On this project we had to use an object in a picture as a stencil. I decided to use a leaf as my stencil and cut the shape out of a pile of leaves. I then added 3 filters and put strokes around them. As a finishing touch i added a brown gradient to the grey background.

Photoshopuser.com Tutorials

On this project we were supposed to use tutorials from photoshopuser.com and attempt to recreate them. I decided to do the Street Lights tutorial and the Smart Smoke tutorial. Here they are.

Office Chair

This chair is made the same way as the egg chair project but with different paintings and a different chair. I used skew to make the shadow look like it was going back instead of just being behind the chair.

On this project  we were supposed to use a chair and use art from one of our favorite artists to create a 3D feel, and make a shadow to go along with it. I used dodge and burn tools on the chair and painted part of the shadows of the chair.

Tutorials

On these projects we were supposed to use two tutorials online and try to recreate them with our own work. I did a tutorial using the history brush and one making text look like it was carved into the trunk of a tree.

Inside out

On this project we were supposed to show the interior and exterior of an object. I used a picture of myself and used pipes as my main tools inside the body. I used the Glowing Edges filter to make it seem like an x-ray.

Midterm

On this project we were supposed to create an image with many different 1x1" squares, manipulating each with filters and adjustments and such. I decided to make a scene of a soccer ball on grass with a sun. I made all of the squares grey to make it all the same color scheme.

On this project we had to use a photo-editing site yo create an image from one of our images. I went onto Photofunia.com and took a photo of me on a 100 dollar bill.

ArtNews

This is my second painting for the ArtNews project. This painting, Manierre Dawson, inspires me because i realized that without painting a realistic human figure, you can tell the painting is portraying a human, only using random shapes and only a few tints and shades of one color.

ArtNews

On this project, we were supposed to choose a photo from the magazine ArtNews that inspired us. This photo, Beauvais Cathedral by Colin Campbell Cooper, inspired me because when you look closely you see that there are colors in certain places of the painting that don't seem like they belong but still make the painting look realistic.

Filtered self portrait

On this project we used filters to edit a self portrait 9 times. I like soccer so i made my border a national teams soccer ball.

Cartoon Strip

On this project we were supposed to make a comic strip. I was thinking about balloons that day so of course i made a cartoon strip about balloons. My character gets a balloon at the zoo and then travels around the world chasing after it, to end up catching it finally back at home.

Holiday card

On this project we went onto card websites and had to create our own cards and since it was near Christmas, i made a Christmas card. When i think of Christmas cards i think of presents, Christmas trees, and a family photo. So, i combined all of those into one Christmas card.

On this project we were supposed to go to a free graphic design website and play with the tools and try to make something out of it. I went on to pixlr.com and used a fancy pen tool to create this face.
